Communications Australia (CommsAust) is able to deliver a wide range of professional services alongside its technology solutions. These include training on all our solutions, project management services, and business process management. In addition, we offer pure consultancy services in areas such as security audits, risk assessments, business continuity/disaster recovery planning and solutions designed for voice, data and IT networks. Compliance

Business Process Management

To fully realize the potential of our Unified Communications or Cogility Studio solutions, it is often necessary to make changes to existing business processes. This is particularly true when we are embedding communications ability into existing applications, or linking applications that were previously “joined” only by human interaction! CommsAust therefore offer this service primarily in conjunction with the above solutions, or offer it as a standalone consulting exercise.

Consulting

CommsAust offers various consulting services designed to assist our customers, and they can be broadly categorized as follows, though we are happy to discuss other requirements on a case by case basis:

Advise – Comms Aust will engage in a purely consultative manner on a range of technical or business issues, where the deliverable will be a report advising the best course of action, with no further obligation. We have specialists certified on a wide range of different vendors’ products, including some not even in our portfolio! As we are also multi-vendor in all areas of our business, the advice received will be truly vendor agnostic, and based on solely what is best for the customer.

Audit – Audits can be useful for establishing a baseline prior to undertaking a major project, as part of a company’s compliance requirements, or to just simply understand the current status of the environment. CommsAust can perform audits on the voice system, the data network and on various parts of the IT infrastructure as required.

Design – All of our solutions typically come with an element of design services to ensure they are implemented with the minimum of fuss and disruption to the business and delivers on the sales promise. However, as CommsAust has skilled and accredited staff for multiple vendors, we are also able to offer a design service that can be implemented by either the customer’s own staff or their choice of independent contractors where this is the best option for them. This is often useful where existing staff are highly skilled in implementation or troubleshooting, but due to being employed in an operational role, do not gain enough experience in design best practice or have the time to train in this area prior to undertaking a major project. Indeed, it may not even make financial sense to have design skills on staff for one-off projects at all.

Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (DR) Planning – CommsAust can work with you to define everything from a basic disaster recovery plan in one area of the business through to a comprehensive Business Continuity strategy to ensure your business stays working after one or more catastrophic failures. We can then utilize our technology solutions and other professional services, if required, to implement it.
